SIGYN'S CULTIVATORS
❧ SIGYN'S CULTIVATORS
Sigyn’s district is the hub of agriculture within Asgard, with sprawling fields and crops that produce any kind of plant and produce you can think of - and even some you’d never even dream of. With so many fruits, vegetables and grains being grown across her large stretch of land, Sigyn is calling upon Wanderer volunteers to help manage these immense harvests. While the goddess is very used to producing and cultivating all previous crops via her own innate magic, her interest in the Wanderers has inspired her to now attempt most of this work by hand.
This work is labor intensive, unless you’ve been gifted with magic to lighten the load. Typical tasks will include picking fruits and vegetables, using tools to harvest grains and plow crops, as well as till and maintain areas that are ready for new seeds to be planted. Her cultivators will also be responsible for food deliveries throughout Asgard, like supplying raw ingredients to restaurants, or sending requested produce to godhouses. This work doesn’t go unpaid, however, as all cultivators receive the first pick of any harvest and will frequently be asked to try out more experimental fruits and vegetables Sigyn comes up with (whether they be blessed or cursed).
Not interested in such a hefty undertaking? Sigyn leaves a lot of wiggle room for being a cultivator. Creating your own garden, or otherwise contributing to the food economy will also count you as a cultivator, whether it’s making food for others or caring for animals.

- Sigyn’s cultivators are a varied bunch, as is the nature of how necessary the need for sustenance is. Because of this, cultivators may work in groups to achieve a common goal, or to share the burden of heavy lifting, or perhaps a cultivator strikes out on their own to grow their own private garden, own a private business or participate in animal husbandry.
Each month, reply to the Participation Sound-Off with what you’ve contributed to the food economy of Asgard. Are you working in Sigyn’s fields, harvesting some produce or grain? Or are you striking out on your own? Regardless how private your endeavors might be, Sigyn doesn’t offer discrimination when it comes to her praise and boons -- she’s impressed with the effort and commitment more than your ability to share, even if it’s a bonus to be involved in teamwork.
If you do wish to offer the (literal) fruits of your labor to Asgard at large, the goddess is a good resource to utilize as a cultivator. There will be regular farmer’s markets held where your wares will be displayed to be traded, or even just taken if you’re feeling generous. Participation in these monthly marketplaces will be rewarded with a small token of her appreciation, likely a small item that can offer a certain magical boost when held or used.
Otherwise, Sigyn is open for questions or requests if you need help expanding a food-related business, or even creating one, as well as helping to bolster any other food or animal-related project you’re investing energy in, based on your reply to the Sound-Off.
